Changes coming to Sweet Caroline
Heads up: You're going to see some changes at Sweet Caroline in the next couple of months. When I built this site I didn't know whether anyone at all would sign up and the site would take off or if it would die, so I chose a platform that would allow me to test the interest. We can all see the result. Sweet Caroline became a wonderful home for Diamondheads around the world. It 's a great place to meet people and keep up with all things Diamond.
I'm rebuilding the site so that I have more control over it and can add, delete, and update new functions as needed. Right now I have difficulty helping people who have trouble signing in, answering messages in their inbox, etc. Just ask anyone who has had trouble with his/her profile or signing it and the frustration it produces. This is one thing I'm trying to avoid.
The new site will function pretty much the same as this one. It's what we're all used to and in our comfort zone. Will it be exactly the same? I can't guarantee that, but I will try my best.
Will it look the same? I don't know. I'm open to ideas and will post a thread when we get to that point asking for ideas.
I'm hoping to make this as painless as possible for everyone involved and look forward to your input when the time comes. It will be very important.
In the mean time, if you don't see me around as much in the next few weeks you'll know why. I'm taking classes and working my booty off. This first week of learning the program and coding has been brutal, but I'm confident it will pay off in the end. We'll have a site that works and when things go wrong I can fix it instead of relying on someone else when they get around to it.

One thing I find confusing on this site is that when someone replies to a comment you leave for them, the original comment doesnt show, just your reply. So you're not always able to link the reply to your original comment. Could this be changed so all replies link to the comment? i Know they do in the forums and blogs, its on people's own pages that it doesnt.
