How tall do you think Neil Diamond is ?
Does everyone know Neil besides, being the most handsome and magical person on the planet is also 6 ft tall, I always thought he was short, but our very own Sweet Caroline-Neil impersonator David J. Sherry had his picture taken with Neil, couldn't believe how tall he is. I always thought short...felt sorry for him (a little) because he was short. now I find out he's tall--I like tall--love him even more because he's tall. I have no problem with short, I myself am not tall, medium height for a woman, but my husbands is short for a man--and other short men always seem intimidated by taller men. I always wished-- for Neil, that he were taller and he IS.....Damn Sam-----could he be anymore wonderful ? Now don't forget he has those magnificent brown/green Hazel eyes... Oh Yeah !!! And then those sumptuous lips, plump and ever so kissable Oh Yeah !!!---The hairy chest took me a while to love, I'm not really crazy about ape/like men. But since I saw that pic with Neil and his shirt open, I love that hairy chest, but only Neils. How can one man have so many things going for him at one time ? -- and on top of all that gorgeousness he is a monumental award winning Singer/songwriter......
That's why I'm on this site and that's why all the rest of us are on this site. Thank you Melissafor making this Neil Diamond Website so magical and informative--we all love you for all your hard work........and making our site the BEST on the INTERNET........Wahooooo..love n hugs ...Alyce V

I'm not sure exactly how tall he is, but there is one way to find out. I volunteer to dance with him just once to see if I can tell for sure.

In what I have read, he was 6'1" when he was younger, now he is 5'11" which is still tall enought for me. I was 5'6" and now I am 5'4". Like you I thought he was shorter, until I notices how long his arm was when he stretched it out performing Brother Love Traveling Salvation Show on the DVD Hot August Nights NYC. Then I found a bio on him that stated his height. I think the big stage we see him on makes him appear shorter. Count me in on the dancing!!!

depends which site you look at. some say 6ft others 6ft 1 and another said 5.9 don't believe that one pretty sure he's 6 ft

I know I am jumping in late on this topic but I was wondering about his height myself. He has to be at least 6ft. How do I know this? I came across a You Tube Video with Neil singing with Linda Ronstadt, and Glen Campbell on the Glen Campbell show. Linda Ronstadt is only 5'2". He towers over her. Glen Campbell is said to be 6ft and Neil is about the same height maybe a smidgen taller so I'd say in his prime 6'1"

I agree with you Peggy Rose. I've seen that video clip as well. I'm pretty sure he was 6'1". He like all of us as we age will get shorter. I'm only 5" tall and have always liked taller men so he's just perfect for me.

Wow, Alyce, I thought I had it really bad for Neil! LOL You love all the same things that I love about Neil. I love the lips, the hair on the chest, those eyes, the way he moves on stage. The man still has it, doesn't he? I just watched the video last night of Neil and Sonia Kruger interviewing Neil at his home in Malibu and he shakes that cute little booty in one part of the video. Check it out if you haven't already. I loved that part!
Regarding his height, I have read several times that he was 6 ft, and I wasn't too surprised by that. I don't think I ever thought he was short. He always looked tall to me, especially with those long, lean looking legs of his when he is on stage. See what I mean!! I can't stop! HA!
I also have noticed when Neil is in group pictures with fans or whatever that he usually seems to be one of the taller ones in the shot. Yes, just one more thing to love about him! I also noticed when he was on American Idol he looked a good six inches taller than Ryan, and I think Ryan Seacrest is about 5'6" or 5'7".

OH YEAH!!!!! U Are so right Alyce!!! I'm not into hairy chests ONLY Neil's .... But those eyes!!! They are hypnotic!! And that voice! Singing or talking.... I could just listen to for ever!.....
