I just banned a spammer who posted messages on many people's profile pages. Sorry for the inconvenience. Here is the message "Love Nelly" left:
Hello, my name is Nelly, I came across your profile now on this Comment Site. So I decided to stop by an let you know that I really want to have a good friendship with you. Beside i have something special i want to discuss with you, but I find it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site. When I approved this profile it didn't feel right and I was going to watch her, but I got a phone call from my brother and she did the damage then. Grrr!

Good job catching her before too much damage was done! I don't see anything on my page, but that doesn't mean anything was posted there by her. Did you remove what ever she spammed from the entire site? I don't have any experience with this kind of thing so I'm clueless. Anyway, thanks for your diligence. You're terrific! Thanks so much Melissa for all you do to keep this site a great place for Neil's fans. Thanks for keeping your watchful eye out for this sort of thing. I know this person was not here for the following statement I'm about to make, but this is just to make people aware about the use of your inbox. People need to remember when they want to discuss or talk with folks on this and other sites about something personal, such as family, etc., they should do so through their inboxes so the messages are not readily available to anyone and everyone who may "visit" this and/or other sites. Even sometimes when folks put comments on my page wall, I still respond back to them by composing a message through my inbox because I would not want to put my answers to their questions out for everyone to see. I've heard of instances where people post information about going out of town on trips, etc. on social networking sites when chatting with their friends. When they returned from their trips, etc. they find their residences have been invaded while they were gone. It's so easy for people in this day to find out information. In this day and age of technology, we should all try to be cautious and that way we can all still enjoy this great site and the great group of folks we've met while being on this site. Just my thoughts, nothing more.

Wow, Melissa! Thanks for catching & taking care of this for us! I didn't get a post like this, but I'm sure glad you caught it ! I would never give out my email to anyone I didn't know well. And since we can send messages to each other through this site, there's no need to give it out! I sure do appreciate your swift action in this matter!
