I was in the middle of editing my little book and wondered whether or not it was ok to use Neil's name in the body of the book. Since I didn't know who else to ask, I decided to ask Alison at FOND, just as I asked Melissa if it was ok to use Sweet Caroline on the dedication page. I attached a copy of the whole little thing so she could see what I was talking about. This is where it gets interesting. I received an email today from an attorney who said he represented Neil Diamond and I was…

I've tried to get her story out, but it's too small a story to be told. It's the story of a young girls first love, and of a singer with a soul that's made of silver and of gold. The story lasts for many decades of her life, with his music surrounding every moment she recalls. It's a story of a woman's yearning that can never be fulfilled.
It starts when she is just sixteen, a time when first loves always seem to blossom, and goes from there. It runs through hills and valleys,…

Thank you Lord for this man.
Let him live long. Let him be strong.
We’ve given our love to him.
He has given his to us.
Hold him in your hand. He is our music man.
Some say his music is his soul,
Some say it is his heart,
But I believe it is the voice of you.
Tender is his heart.
He tells us in so many, many ways.
Yet he is strong,
Because he lifts us up and carries us away.
He is…

You have created a river through your music,
With all the memories of you, of what has come and gone,
Formed by the decades of your life and your guitar.
It's a river forming still,
Bubbling up from that magical spring that holds your soul,
Through all the notes and words you pen today.
And that river sings to us, as we walk along its shore.
It sings of love, of joy,
And of a sadness each of us will feel,…

Thanks Suzanne for the comment on the Bumblebee video...I've been gone for a few days so need to catch up...geeze I missed a lot!!! Have a great day and ttyl I hope Hugs Glorygirl xoxo
I felt the same way when I read the book. I just joined this group, have been out of the Diamond loop for a while. So... there's a rumor that he'll play the Greek this August? Every time he tours that rumor surfaces. The problem is, it's a much smaller venue than what Neil usually plays, so don't know if it can happen, but that would be so cool. During HAN he was there for about 10 nights, all sold out.
Hey Suzanne...just finished messaging you then came to your page and saw that you are from IN...what a coincidence...my sister lives in Crown Point up by the Chicago end as they say out there...anyway, enjoy the Kennedy Center honors tonight and will ttys Hugs Gloria xoxo
Thanks for adding me as a friend, Suzanne! Have a great day!
Hi Suzy! i just got back online. I've been at a sales conference for the past eight days and I'm just starting to get back to my regular routine. I read your blog regarding a remedy for Neilitis. I did not read the replies but I'm sure the response was a united NO!
And it's too true. No Cure. No Hope of relief. But isn't it great that your wonderful husband is being so agreeable in being your Neil stand-in? How fun is that!! Put on one of Neil's albums and enjoy your night together.
And isn't it great to feel like a teenager again!! What fun and you don't have to worry about being "grounded" by your parents.
I know that more often that not the desire to have, hold and touch Mr. Sultry eyes is so very painful that you feel like you will bust. But the best we can do is put on a CD or DVD and be carried away in our own imagination.
And... in MY parallel universe, Neil and I are VERY, VERY happy together!!
