Listening to Neil's songs in my head....

I always thought that my headphones were good enough for my old CD player until I bought an antique (sort of)
old record player which plays tapes records and CDs. I am so glad I didn't sell Neil's records in a garage sale one summer-- thinking they were old &sounded scratchy. People have been talking about the end of the CD era and that Phonograph's are coming back. It appears that a lot of people want to hear that quiet sound of the needle on the records--sound more realistic--sweeter sound they say---well I agree.
It seemed not too long ago I went to a RECORD shop and bought up about 10 of Neil's records thinking I would
listen to them forever. & of course you know what happened after that--the invasion of the CD's & the DVD 's(I
have no problems with DVD's ---you get the whole Neilsong-video in one package. That's great. But there is
a but here because my son gave me an Iphone shuffel little tiny box you cllip to your shirt, which incidentally
has up to 200 songs on there. Great for runners and when you work out, or chillout. But again, it has great quality of sound--quite amazing . So you know what--I put those ear phones on and Neil is singing to ME personally--he is inside my head--I love it-I will never listen to Neil on my car tapes again. I love the sound -- if you don't have an Ipod--they are coming down in price--go get one. Then download/upload your Neilsongs to your Ipod. Shazam-you've got the Great Neil Diamond right there at your side. You have to try his music with those earphones-you're gonna love they way he sounds.......

Hi Alyce

I have so many vinyls that you have given me an idea (well you and Sheldon)

I enjoy what you say about him singing to you "personally" that sounds so awesome.

Hi Alyce,

Yes, the vinyls really are the best sound.  So if you love your Ipod as much as I do, you can get the hardware and software that will allow you to download your vynils onto your computer.  As you play the record on your turntable running it throug the "box" the software digitises the music so it can be stored in ITunes and ultimately downloaded onto your shuffle.  Then you can hear all the scratches and pops directly from the record.  I have a shuffle and a nano.  I swim with the shuffle and have hours of Neil I can listen to while I swim.  I have all his albums in vinyl, at least all that were originally produced.  Look into the product.  I know you will enjoy it.  . . . .Sheldon

My friend said she got her record player at Target. It is now on my Christmas wish list.

vinyl is making a slow comeback. They are cheaper to prduce. The record companies don't make as much on vinyl as they do on cd's.

Melony I was implying that the best way to listen to Neil is not on a computer CD, TV DVD, or car stereos, I too have all that. I was saying to put earphones in your ears to go for optimum sound quality. That's all
it sounds amazing....

Alice - you sound like a commercial for the Ipod. I have the Nano Ipod and bascially listen to it when I travel.
When I am on the computer I an listen to the CD's I have downloaded or songs I purchased from ITunes.
Also just purchased a 18.5" kitchen TV with a CD/DVD player built-in so I have music while I cook. In my car I have ND CD's playing while I drive. Don't you just love all this new technology to have music wherever you go?!
