before.

Other previous nominees include the J. Geils Band; Tom Waits; Chuck Willis; Chic and Joe Tex.

You are welcome Melissa, you're so right, LOL! Yes, Shilo, I did read the book. David Wild's relationship with Neil started long ago when he lived in NJ as a child. We just need David to convince everyone else on the voting board and then I think we have it made!

I was so excited when I heard the news about Neil's nomination on the radio. It's about time. He is such a HUGE part of music history, both in songwriting and singing!

Hey, Melony
David Wild thinks Neil Diamond invented MUSIC, if you've read his book. Don't think he needs any encouragement from us. Up till now, he's said that he had no influence because Neil had never been nominated.
Looks good for Neil...!

Thanks so much for the info, Melony! I'm betting that's one arm that doesn't need twisting. :)

It is about time that they put him in there with the BIG names!!!! After all, Neil is one of the few who WRITE their own music, PLAY their own instruments and still PERFORM after more than 40 years!!!! What else do they need to be inducted!!!!???? Is there anything we can do to give him a push????
