Isn't it wonderful to have so much affection for one performer, that from the early years of his life, we all love that face, that Neil Diamond face. That clean shaven short haired "kid" singing on American Bandstand & later .the ever so sexy long haired Neil in a red shirt, that seems to be a little more confident, doing all those song for BBC.. The ones we all love so much, the ones that make us drool like school girls, just feeling their sexual emotion for the first time. But it doesn't stop there, it goes on, and on,.just can't get enough of that face & the magnificent voice, & the wonderful attitude, & the sensual gyrations, his dance moves, worshiping every movement & that look in his eyes.sometimes saintly & other times ever so alluring. And he knows it, he does it on purpose just to get us all HOT.
He becomes a little more sure of himself as an entertainer, and we see a different Neil. Hair not so long but still fabulous, a little heavier like in those photos from the concerts in 1976-1979. In these videos he is much more sure of himself and a bit conceited. Strutting around like a proud peacock, and why not, he's just about the greatest singer/song writer that ever lived. and we are just loving it, the whole package that is Neil Diamond.
The years go on and we see him aging, as we all do. But he still has that charm, that animal magnetism that he always possessed, from that first time I saw him on a variety show singing Holly Holy, and Soolimon, I thought no singer ever made me feel like that, who is this, where did he come from, why didn't I know about him before. I felt cheated, so I spent a lot of time buying records, making my own tapes for the car, God knows I couldn't go anywhere without Neil's songs, they just made me feel so wonderful, and nothing has changed since then, I still adore him and I always will. It's that same Neil face I love so much.
